Brandi Crawford-Lavoie

Brandi has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for more than 25 years. She has taught in classrooms for children, birth to school age, and for the last 17 years has served as a director at multiple preschools in the Central Florida area. Brandi also mentors new directors, conducts personalized training, and has a passion for implementing Developmentally Appropriate Practice into early childhood programs, as well as, supporting teachers and leadership in their careers. Brandi's call to Early Childhood Education continues to cultivate her love of the field as she endeavors to share her knowledge and skills with others.   


Monica Healer

Monica Healer is the Executive Director of the Early Childhood Christian Network. She started her professional career in corporate IT but the Lord clearly called her into early childhood ministry a few years later. She has a broad range of experience in almost every level of early childhood education - from classroom teacher to administrator.

She believes administrators and staff should be equipped with the latest research-based training available in order to provide the highest quality experience for young children in their first school exposure. She has experienced that Lord uses us where we are when we intentionally seek to serve the people right in front of us. Monica has a BBA from Texas Tech University in Management Information Systems. Monica and her husband, Jim, serve at First Baptist Church, McKinney, TX and have three grown sons.  





Mecca Johnson



Mecca Johnson is the founder of My Joy Speaks, LLC, a platform for “getting to the root of things” through humor, self-deprecation, and a fierce love and appreciation for authenticity in all of its forms. Her clients have reflected on time with Mecca as life-changing. Her commitment to providing tools to support individual improvement have resulted in improving the lives, families, and organizational cultures impacted by those she supports through speaking, training, consulting, and coaching.  Her experience includes 30+ years in the field of Early Childhood Education with a particular expertise in Leadership within a franchise culture.  Her message and the tools she provides transfer seamlessly to any industry.  




Dr.Aletha Penn


Althea is passionate about serving Christian early education teachers and leaders and has over 30 years of experience in organizational leadership and as a primary and secondary instructor. She is certified as a professional development specialist, early childhood educator, and administrator. As Director of Early Education, she provides consultation and professional assistance to early educators supporting them with a Christ-centered focus and helping in the development of biblically-based resources and professional development. Althea’s favorite children’s book is The Berenstain Bears: God Loves You! by Jan Berenstain and her favorite verse to teach children is Jeremiah 29:11.




Robin Stephenson



Robin’s professional experience includes serving as a teacher and administrator; executive program leader; vice president; college instructor; entrepreneur and business owner. Her training and support of staff and specifically, women in leadership reaches throughout the United States, Canada, England, Romania, Hungry, The Philippines, Hong Kong, South America, and South Africa. Over the past 30 years, Robin has served on the board of directors for three national educational organizations, including the Association of Early Learning Leaders (AELL). Her career leadership has contributed towards making a difference in the care and education of young children, and in the lives of those who serve them.





Donna Thornton-Roberts
Donna Thornton- Roberts’s passion and devotion to early educators has propelled her into becoming a national treasure as a champion for those dedicated to teaching and caring for young children for the last 30 years.  Since 1989, she has crisscrossed the country providing thousands of professional development trainings to audiences with her inspirational messages in practical application from her first-hand experiences in childcare. 

She’s an author, business owner, and executive coach devoted to increasing the quality of early childhood programs by investing in the individuals who directly influence and teach young children.  Donna holds a BS in Management of Human Resources, a Master’s in Business Administration and anticipates completing her Doctorate in Leadership next year. 

She’s the founder and president emeritus of the Association of Early Learning Leaders and currently serves as the president of Child Development Education Alliance, Inc - an association serving over 500 faith based programs.  Donna has appeared on CBS News, Sirius Radio, and Family Net TV.  She has a passionate zeal to train-up the next generation of influencers in early care education!





Frank Toral


Co-founder Frank Toral is our President and has been since our inception. Since October 2019, he has presided over our Wellington, Florida-based Neighborhood Kids Preschool, Inc. and its affiliates. Before and during the early years of Neighborhood Kids, from June 2016 through March 2020, Mr. Toral was the Pastor and Director of Promise Life Chapel, Inc., also in Wellington, Florida. Additionally, prior to founding our franchise organization, Mr. Toral was CEO of Toral Law in Davie, Florida, from October 1995 through October 2019.
